SILK COLLECTION

MY CREATIVE JOURNEY

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I’ve always been fascinated by the PNW's misty forests, rugged coastline, or the ever-changing skies. My love for creating began early, with my first mural—as a small child I cut and glued paper shapes and painted my bedroom walls (without permission!). That impulsive act of self-expression sparked a lifelong passion for making marks and creating art.

Today, I work primarily on silk, which allows me to explore fluid, vibrant color and texture, but I am equally fascinated by encaustic techniques and the endless possibilities of mixed media. These mediums offer me the freedom to experiment, layer, and discover new ways to bring my ideas to life. Throughout my journey, I have attended numerous classes and workshops that have shaped my skills and expanded my creative horizons. I believe that learning from others and sharing knowledge is an essential part of being an artist, and I will always value the exchange of ideas that help us all grow.

I currently live and create in Port Angeles, WA, with my biggest supporter—my husband. We share our home with two springer spaniels, two cats, and my ongoing dream of someday adding chickens and a donkey to the mix. My studio and garden are where inspiration is nurtured and allowed to grow.
